I'm such the slacker!

lright so it's not like I haven't cooked in six months. I just haven't been taking pictures of food. Lately my focus has been on Elvis! But there will be food pics again...eventually.

It seems like ever since we moved I've been craving filipino food at least once a week. Which is slightly annoying since the closest decent asian grocery store is in another town. Ahhh the things we do for food.

Cookies

I love making and eating these cookies. They are so soft and chewy. This time though, I made them for my parents because my mom was complaining how her boxed mix cookies were too sweet. Duh! You don't control the quantity of sugar or quality of chocolate chips going into your cookie, how do you expect it to be good? MMMM they make the house smell sooo good, but then what baked goody doesn't?

MMMM...tex mex

I was having a craving for tex-mex when I decided I would try to make my own chicken enchiladas. It turned out divine with the salsa verde.....I'm not a big fan of red salsa.

KFC

So the other day I decided I wanted to try my hand at KFC......yes, Korean fried chicken. It was quite a bit of work and definitely requires a take 2, but was still yummy. And yes the camera is here, so be ready for macros galore!

As you may note in previous posts my camera is not the best at macro shots. With that said, I am anxiously awaiting my new camera. J got it as my birthday present. Hopefully future food shots will be less blurry.
Just got off the phone to check on the order..backordered, of course. Oh well what's another month or so?

were topped with sauteed diced onions and sharp white cheddar. I also
made some baked sweet potato fries.

New Year once again

I have definitely been slacking on posting anything. With the move and all things have been hectic. I am now in a place where variety is non existent unless I go "into town". All things considered, this ought to be good for my cooking!
