My parents came to visit this past weekend and brought goodies as always :) One of them being bittermelons from their garden.  My mom used to torture me with this vegetable when I was younger and it wasn't until last year that I discovered my new found love.

Family is coming to visit, so I thought I'd make some french bread. Not sure if it will still be around tomorrow :/

Homemade yogurt

Heating milk for yogurt.  This is my second batch of yogurt.  The first batch I made was plain yogurt and I left it out waaaaaaay to long and was too tart for my taste.  I will use that batch for sauces or marinades. This batch will be vanilla.  And since I'm writing this after the fact, I must admit I totally blanked out on adding powdered milk until I had already incubated for 3 hours.  The flavor was still fine but texture was a bit off.  Third time's a charm?

Ok so I at least have to post once this year. Although I'd like to say I'll post at least once a week. I haven't used my camera in ages. Literally. It sits there all sad. But I did take up a new hobby. Sewing. Pictures to come. Teehee.
